Dear Church Family, The revival was everything we hoped and prayed it would be. Brother Ron Ralph of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Carthage, TN was truly a blessing to all of us. The Lord touched many hearts and lives during this revival and there is a renewed spirit of encouragement, faith and desire to serve our Master and Lord at Ridge Road. Keep praying and prepare yourselves for the work God has for us in the coming weeks and months. We now have some of the messages online that Brother Ron preached during the revival. Sermons Online The Sermon Audio site is growing by leaps and bounds. Visit our site and hear some of Brother Lee Cadenhead's most inspirational sermons, including "Fetch A Compass", "The Courage To Try Again", "Train Up A Child" and "The Sin Of Sodomy". "The Road To Glory" Radio broadcast airs on WELJ 90.9 FM Monday through Friday from 7:35 to 7:50 AM. We're getting some very positive feedback from the program. Remember to invite all your friends and relatives to listen. A lot of the sermons heard on WELJ can be found on our Sermons Online page, including "Twelve Ways To Let The Devil Get Your Children" Ladie's Care Group The Ladie's Care Group will be meeting on Monday, August 11th at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Make plans to be there! Deacon Selection Procedure In the evening service of August 31st, the church will be selecting two men to serve as deacons. The existing deacon body will produce a list of qualified nominees to the church ont he 17th for prayerful consideration. According to our new procedure, church members may suggest a nominee for consideration to an existing deacon or the Pastor. This must be done prior to the Deacon's Meeting scheduled for Sunday, August 10th. If you'd like to recommend a deacon nomination, please submit it right away. Your current deacons are:
Brother Gene and Brother Ernie are the two deacons that will be completing their three year terms. They may be re-nominated per the new guidelines.

Remember, our first AWANA club meeting is August 17th and it will be here before we know it! Pray. Pray. Pray. This is a very important undertaking. Please pray for the Lord's blessing on the start of this newest effort to win and disciple children for the Lord Jesus Christ. Attention workers: we'll have a "dry run" on Sunday August 10th at 5:00 PM.
Outreach Update
We'll be passing out tracts at the gate of the Flomaton Speedway on Saturday, August 30th. This is Labor Day Weekend and they are expecting a good crowd for the race. The gates open at 4:00 PM and we'll try to be posted at the gate by 6:00 PM. The biggest crowd will arrive between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. If you'd like to carpool over, meet at the chruch by 5:30 PM. Don't forget to wear your "Jesus Saves" church shirt!
Annual Labor Day Fish Fry We'll begin to cook around 10:00 AM and plan on eating around noon. Bring a side to share and the church will provide the fish. This is always a good time for our church family and friends, so make plans now to come out and fellowship together (and eat)!
